Mousewell Farm
Mousewell farm stables is set in 150 acres of beautiful country-side and has been transformed from farm to racing yard by the owner Mr Mike Warner who wishes to leave no stone unturned in his quest for establishing a competitive yard for training race horses to the highest level.
Bradley and Mike believe that with their combined efforts and their attention to detail Mousewell Farm Racing stables can be as successful as any yard in the country.
The Stables
The yard itself can house 21 horses all in one barn with spacious stables and excellent ventilation ensuring the horses are happy and healthy in their environment.
Turn Out Paddocks
All the horses can be turned out after exercise everyday in their own paddock area which Bradley believes is a must for letting the horses chill-out after they have been exercised making it as stress free and varied for all the horses in his care.
Gallops
Apart from excellent hacking across fields and through woods the yard also has a five furlong All-weather woodchip gallop, and also a four furlong round grass gallop with a rotivated strip on the outside.
Schooling Ground
The schooling ground consists of five fences including an open ditch and four flights of hurdles, we also have a range nursery jumps for the baby’s in our care to include tiers and barrels these will help get the youngsters into a rhythm and build their confidence before they go over the larger obstacles.
Outdoor School
All the horses have the added bonus of being able to jump poles and barrels loose in the outdoor school, we find the older horses really enjoy this to, but its also great for the youngsters to find their own feet before jumping with a jockey on their backs on the schooling ground.
Horse Walker
The horse walker is ideal for letting the horses cool down after a gallop and a nice wash down, providing a safe and secure environment in which to do so. |
